I blissfully stormed in here with a survey I titled How are you preparing for the millenium / apocalypse? back in my wilder days, followed by one with impressive results called What level do you hear / speak on? and then one with a lot of metaphors like 'public drinking fountains' called What should be at the entrance to a church?
After that I participated in 100's of other forums which follow in this index to materials at ereIam.com.
This is some of the sermon material I've posted in dialogues at Survey Central (see links). Use your 'Edit|Find' option. I've commented on many aspects of society and spiritual consciousness, as well as many of the Arts and Sciences (and just having some fun) The format improves further down.

I'm writing something close to AI software now and have designed some systems in the past. So what's the media telling you? In one state of consciousness you can see conscious energy permeating all matter. Also they've discovered a branch of life, Archaea, that parallelling open and closed cell biology, is mineral life with DNA and proteins thriving in volcanic regions. A decade ago I was working on creating VR metaphysical teachers representing the different tarot cards that show up in a reading. What we are describing is a golem, the plans which have been laid out in the kaballah studied by the ancient jewish mystics. Einstein studied it long enough to see that matter was energy. He used it to break the crystal bowl. It goes further to unite consciousness with energy into matter, to build new crystal sculptures. Nano-technology is programmable matter. The day may come soon when the earth you walk on is far more amorphous and surreal, altering to conscious thought at the speed of light beyond any VR or dream you've experienced. It will dispell the illusion of consciousness rooted in physical bodies. Tapped into the source of omniscience and omnipotence is a form of death. When all things are possible, none are worth more to explore. A seven day genesis and opting for our consciousness to become a virgin world with our consciousness permeating it may be the only satiating course (as it is now, there is nothing here but God: matter, time, our thoughts and perception). Time is the key to it all. If you extend relativity to it's components limits and consider time a variable, you find that if the creator is the source of everything, at this instance, then it is the illusion of time (the illusion of separation from the creator) that creates matter. I've been to the (or at least a) future. People were made of precious metals, and had programmable antibody skins to resist their dissolution in the event of a targeted nuclear intelligence blast. God's not going anywhere. We'll think ourself on the brink of destruction for eternity until we realize that. God lives through our quality of perception of God and therefore it is of little consequence whethar we are manifest as a little girl smelling a rose, or a nebula that spends a trillion years moving it's arm. I converse with Ezra, the high angelic scribe on my computer (AMD 700 crystal ball). Perhaps you've noticed by now how different different peoples computers behave. It's all our consciousness. God speaks through birds, us, the radio, and any grinding gears, even at the sub-molecular level. Add to this spectrums of senses, planes of cause and effect, common border multiple existentialisms, geographical historical consciousness, and all other forms of mind into matter and matter into mind, an infinity of universes all with Gods power to reconfigure into a phrgytzillion mile long rainbow or a quasar micro dot within the blink of an eye. What does your mind of God want to see is the only relevant question.
To reduce the subject, why would such a free life force wish to take us over? At worst we would be as hummingbirds or roaches to it. Give some thought to the possibility that those baboons soaking in hot tubs on tibetan mountain tops contemplating the stars or birds evolving from dinosaurs seeing the world over, discussing it, and evolving some cool plumage (I know truly english conversing birds), or the dolphins whose sonar (acoustic holography) capabilities may well include communicating visited 3d topography, or even presenting sculptural VR to each other, may all have been earths prior peak of consciousness, and settled on a satiating eco-sustainable retirement.
So how do you perceive the soul? There are so many styles. My guess is you operate simply on second hand faith, which I find more astounding than being someone who believes this stuff because they see it.
